‘the album’

June 10, 2026

where is it?

as you may have noticed, every single of mine is different from one another. it’s not a deliberate choice per se, i just like doing different things. i just start a project and see what happens.

the album is different, though. the concept came to me a while ago while i was on campus, if i remember correctly. i was at the library far after closing time. i captured the sound of what i wanted the album to sound like. it’s hard to describe a very specific sound in my head. if i could, i’d just let you hear it. woody, acoustic textures, with a focus on looooooooong drones. a strong focus on church sounds. syrian sisles, which is an onomatopoeia, they make a ssssss sound, and me singing high and hymn-like, like i did in the self-titled single, georges. the woody textures would be played through oriental instruments. i’ve always seen the concept as droney post-rock through the lens of the eastern world.

to put it shortly, this is my most concentrated work. i know exactly what to do. i just have to execute it. to answer the former question, GIVE ME SOME TIME, OKAY… i have found it is not easy to get my hands on a bunch of eastern instruments… i am planning to reach out to my childhood keyboard teacher, as he plays a bunch of eastern instruments. idk. i have a lot to do to execute this album. so saying it ‘will be done soon’ is simply…… a lie. it will not be done any time soon.

i am really passionate about this project though. i am excited to incorporate my culture and the sounds of my upbringing into my music. i wish to inspire those who are afraid to for whatever reason. don’t just focus on what’s popular in our contemporary western world. look at where you came from. let it inspire you.

thanks for reading (and waiting…)

much love,
georges
